Colombo is the gateway to Sri Lanka for most travelers—but don’t be tempted to simply pass through this diverse and interesting city. Take a train ride along the coast to Mount Lavinia, a popular beach, or explore the Talangama Wetland, which several TripAdvisor travelers say is the perfect place to take a break from the bustling streets of the city.

I contacted Chathura by friends's recommendation and was sure everything will be fine. But it went far beyond my expectations. I travelled with my brother and elderly mother, so she needed some special attention. Chathura at all times was very professional and pacient. He is warm hearted and friendly, punctual and discreet, knowledgeble and passionate about his country. His car is very spacious, confortable and clean, even has wifi. I made an itinerary of the places to see and things to do. And asked Chathura for suggestions. His advices were very valuable and helpful. He organized everything perfectly and in a short time we could visit so many beautiful and diverse places. Locals also were very kind and sincere. Overall country is very safe. We stayed there in the second part of April when unfortunately horrible attacks happened. But mainly Colombo area was suffered. It is far from all tourist spots and attractions and all other parts of the country were very calm and safe and we never felt threatened. I recommend visit Sri Lanka 100 % and Chathura to organize your trip!! Tip: not necessary book all your hotels for the trip (maybe only for the first night or if you stay during very important event). More easy and comfortable to find where to stay when you already in the place. That way you can check room and hotel conditions by yourself and also negociate the price.

We had booked a car with chauffeur for 7 days with pickup & drop off at Colombo airport. The driver Nishan, was courteous & very friendly. We visited Colombo, Hatton, Kandy, Dambulla, Sigiriya & Negeombo. Considering we did not visit a lot of the usual popular tourist places like Ella, it was a bit tough finding our way around but overall it was a great experience. Mr Sankalpa was very helpful in planning our trip before we left from NewYork & worked with us to get the itinerary we wanted. Highly recommend Red Apple Colombo. Thank you

Thanks to Leisure World Tours' chauffeur/tour guide Lal, my family and I had an unforgettable 11 day trip to Anuradhapura, Jaffna, Trinco, and Arugam Bay. It was a pleasure from the moment he picked us up until the moment he dropped us back home. When there was a problem or a moment of stress, he helped us sort it out immediately, and kindly helped me out. His main concern was that we have no stress and enjoy the trip. We saw so many beautiful, historical and special sites and buildings, and learned so much about Sri Lanka from our guide, it made me learn to appreciate the country all over again.

The Cultural Triangle is the land which lies within the three ancient cities of Dambulla, Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa, which bear testament to the great civilisation that existed here dating back to 4 BC. On seeing the extensive ruins here, and with a little imagination it is possible to re-create the life of the proud people that once lived here and developed this region into the masterpiece of creation that it once was. The numerous irrigation tanks covering hundreds of acres, with their waters held back with manually constructed packed earth bunds are proof that the ancient Kings were exceptionally advanced for their time. The Cultural Triangle holds the distinction of housing three of the seven World Heritage Sites in the country which are Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya.
