We made this part of our holiday a cultural tour and were pleased to be able to view local sites. The one in Mesagne is well explained and interesting, and added to our previous site visits. You can't miss it since it is in the centre of town behind the walls.

Parco Archeologico di Egnazia

This is a little gem in Apulia, the site isn’t too big, so it takes about 2 hours to visit all with a 7 year’s boy. Our boy liked the visit as well as we. Unfortunately the criptoportico and the museum were not available, but it’s a good opportunity to visit the site again. I would suggest an half day visit and be advised to protect your skin in summer time, it can be very hot.
